iNove for bbPress

11.20.2008 | Projects

I have just ported the awesome iNove wordpress theme over to a bbPress template. iNove is a theme inspired by MacZone. It is very stylish and doesn’t require any plugins.

The theme has a nice clean look to it and it should make for a great forum layout. This is the first theme I have ever ported to bbPress and it probably contains a lot of unneeded code. Especially in the css department. Depending on the response and the time I have I may clean it up in the future.

You can see a demo of this theme over at bbshowcase.org.

@Josh - Sorry I missed your comment. The links are hard coded in the header.php file.

@Tony - Thanks and glad you like it. If you need any help with it let me know.

Very nice work!

I’m trying to add the drop down menu functionality of the original theme… no success yet. Maybe you’re already planning this for a future release…?

bbPress is already showing some good potential and your work has allowed me to add it to my website.

Seasons Greetings, Happy New Year, etc. :)

BTW, I made up a new graphic to replace the wp-logo.png

Give me a shout if you want me to email it to you.

@Paul - I just tested the drop down feature and I have got it working locally. Hopefully I can get a new version released in the next few days with this included. If you would email the wp-logo.png that would be awesome. My email is eric@ this domain.

Any tips on duplicating the header/footer/navigation from the invoe WP theme would be massively appreciated, also I think a newly iplugin may be overriding my original dropdown nav in the wp-theme as it was working fine until recently, but now it’s ruined my drop down subnav, i’m a relative beginner to this so if anyone has any suggestions it’d be massively appreciated, perhaps you could mail me or take a look, i’d be happy to reimburse you for anytime spent solving it. WP and BBpress are almost 100% login integrated, would just like to get the nav, header & footer duplicated now and the dropdown nav working again.

Hi Pete. The easiest way in my eyes would be to view your wordpress site in the browser and then view source and copy and paste out the header, navigation, etc..

I should be able to help you out for a fee if you prefer to go that route. Just contact me here: http://ericlbarnes.com/contact/

Please include your domain name so I can have a look.
